You will be responsible for the technical development and optimisation of soil and terrestrial invertebrate eDNA products and for supporting the wider team on the implementation and marketing of those products. You will contribute to the development and evaluation of new and existing metrics relating to soil health, terrestrial biodiversity, and ecosystem functioning which can be used to help inform habitat restoration and sustainable land management decision making. The role will include critically evaluating current approaches through literature reviews, designing and managing validation and optimisation experiments (e.g. sampling designs, primer selection, comparisons with other methods, continuous testing), analysis of community data, and writing up reports evaluating the outcomes.
