This unique and dynamic ecosystem is home to endangered wildlife including the Royal Bengal Tiger as well as a large and climatically vulnerable human population. Sustainable development of this region is critical to ensure the long-term wellbeing of the people living here as well as the conservation of its biodiversity – both of which are intrinsically linked. WWF India is looking for a dynamic and motivated leader for its integrated programme in the Sundarbans Landscape. The overall vision of the programme is to demonstrate and scale up a sustainable development model for the delta that takes into account the unique biodiversity as well as the emerging challenges of climate change induced impacts.
