Joint project of Vatican, multiple UN agencies, universities, global network of forestry schools, and others.

Fearless, energetic, and resourceful Europe-based project manager needed for a unique global collaboration of several of the world’s largest institutions, which are joining forces to mobilize millions of people to plant thousands of community gardens and billions of trees. The project will be launched by several world leaders in religion, government, and the arts in 2020.

This unprecedented collaboration includes globally recognized leaders across many sectors, all united around the core value of caring for creation. This unique interfaith and intercultural program will not only raise awareness about the ecological crisis, but will harness the power of religion and the arts to motivate and organize concrete community-led environmental actions.

Responsibilities will include collaborating with experts in multiple organizations to determine best practices for community tree-planting and gardening, managing the creation of documents in multiple languages, researching and creating educational packages for school participation, finding project assistants in many areas (translators, website designers, event coordinators, etc), coordinating meeting schedules, travel planning, document design, arranging partnerships, assisting with fundraising, and handling a whole array of random tasks that cannot be predicted.

MUST be an excellent writer, preferably in English
MUST have at least basic graphic design ability.
Fluency in multiple languages is preferred: ideally English, Italian, French, and at least one other language.
Familiarity with the Catholic Church will be helpful.

Job will be spent on a wide range of duties, from assistance with database management, and communications tasks involved in running a global initiative to internet research, responding to emails, taking memos, maintaining files, sending and receiving correspondence, social media co-development, domestic and international travel arrangements and more.

Hours must be flexible. Work mainly online. Occasional travel to Rome.

Must have excellent references, great organizational and social skills. Good computer skills a must, (graphic design; basic website design; spreadsheets.) Must be eager to take on novel challenges and do whatever is needed to ensure the success of this global environmental project. A knowledge of classical music very desirable.
