Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge provides an opportunity to build monitoring and management skills by working with a team of skilled field biologists. The work of the general refuge intern will focus on visitor services (60%), with other duties as assigned including wildlife and vegetation monitoring and surveys (20%), habitat management (10%), and general refuge maintenance/operations (10%). One full-time intern is needed to support visitor services and wildlife/habitat projects on Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. This 12 week position has a negotiable preferred start date of 1 June 2020. Weekly living stipend of $250. Communal, co-ed government housing is available in Wells, Maine.
