This position is located with the Agricultural Research Service, Field Organization, Pacific West Area, Range & Meadow Forage Management Research, in Burns Oregon. The incumbent will assist in one or more phases of the research process by performing a variety of technical duties, in a laboratory, rangeland, shrubland or grassland environment, such implementing research protocols for experiments and observational studies.

  • Conduct range/plant ecology monitoring for plant abundance, diversity, and structure such as line-intercept, belt transect, and quadrats and plant identification with taxonomic keys.
