As our next Ranger, you will be an integral member of the team that undertakes weed management using multiple techniques including biological controls.  The South Westland weed control programme is large and varied, from Lake Ianthe in the north, to Awarua Point in the South, which you will be instrumental in delivering. This is a key component of the role and will require you to work autonomously and in a team, demonstrating a strong health and safety focus in the field. You may also assist with conservation law compliance work, negotiate fencing agreement contracts with local landowners, help to manage contracts for aerial weed control and other tasks, and assist with animal pest management projects from time to time.
