Starting salary circa £25,000 pa plus company car   

BASC serves a growing membership of over 150,000 and a wide variety of stakeholder and public interests. It acts as a representative body for sporting shooting – fostering opportunity, safety, high standards and wildlife conservation.

BASC is looking for an individual with wide ranging shooting experience who will deliver membership engagement and recruitment activities. Such activities include specialist advice provision, extension of the “Green Shoots” programme, and the organisation and supervision of member’s events.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Good communication with written word and public speaking
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Commitment and ability to respond to the flexible requirements of the role
  • Enthusiasm, self motivation and ability to motivate others
  • Experience within a service delivery environment
  • A close connection with shooting sports and knowledge of the countryside

Working within a small team and reporting to the Regional Director the position is home based and will involve travel throughout the region and occasionally the UK. The Regional Officer will ideally be based in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, North and West Norfolk with an excellent range of shooting contacts within the region. Additionally the successful candidate would be required to hold a current shotgun certificate.
