The Echeverri Lab at the MBL is seeking a primary animal care person for aquatic species. Duties will include daily animal care, feeding, husbandry and maintenance of aquatic systems and embryo microinjection. Additionally, the person will have responsibility for general lab maintenance and organization and lab ordering tasks. The position is available immediately and is funded for one year; it may be extended depending on availability of funding and performance.

Major Duties:

  • Daily feeding and tank cleaning for two aquatic species.
  • Maintenance of circulating aquatic tanks systems, troubleshooting mechanical problems and performing water quality testing.
