The CCRI at the University of Gloucestershire seeks to appoint a Research Assistant to contribute to the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE) and the new Horizon Europe project RUSTIK. The position offers an exciting opportunity to bridge research and practice by working in a collaborative secondment with our RUSTIK project partner Monmouthshire County Council.

We invite applications from Master’s degree-qualified candidates with experience and/or ambition to succeed in applied, policy-relevant research in rural economic development. The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing and supportive research team and co-produce impactful results with regional stakeholders.

The post provides an excellent pathway to applied and policy careers.

There will be additional opportunities to participate in future funding acquisition and engage with the CCRI’s national and international networks.

The post is fixed-term and will end on 31 August 2026 in line with the grant award.
