WCT’s Makara programme is looking for a Research Associate to help develop a conservation roadmap for gharials and associated riverscapes through population surveys, hydrological monitoring, threat assessments, capacity building, and public engagement. This project requires a Research Associate with an interest in crocodilians, river ecosystems, and applied conservation. Project tasks will involve data collection, synthesis, reporting, communication, and project coordination. The Chambal region will be the primary project site, and secondary sites will include the Son, Gandak and Ghaghara rivers. The position will be based, at least partly, in the Chambal region.
