Thetford, Norfolk / Full time, permanent / £23,028 – £25,587 + 11% employer pension contribution

The British Trust for Ornithology is seeking applications for a Research Ecologist.  The post will be in Monitoring Research, working closely with the Surveys and Avian Demography Teams, to undertake a range of analytical work mainly on long-term datasets such as Wetland Bird Survey, the Breeding Bird Survey, the Ringing Scheme, recent national surveys and applied conservation projects as opportunities arise.

Candidates should have a PhD in ecology, or other related area, or equivalent experience.  They will have excellent computing skills, analytical skills and ecological knowledge.  Experience in population modelling and survival analysis (e.g. using long-term datasets), biodiversity monitoring and field ecology will be an advantage.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held in Thetford week commencing 12 March.
