Interested in an opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse team at the Genetics Research Unit in the Wildlife Health Laboratory? Learn more about this unique limited-term position! Under supervision of the WHL Environmental Program Manager, the position will provide core program support to the CDFW Wildlife Genetics Research Unit in the Wildlife Health Laboratory in generating and interpreting genomic data sets suitable for assessing genetic variation among golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) populations statewide. In addition, the position will be responsible for developing a rapid genotyping assay capable of differentiating pure-bred northern spotted owls (Strix occidentalis) from barred owls (Strix varia) and assessing hybrid status.
