Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The College of Agriculture and Life Science at Iowa State University is seeking applicants for a Research Scientist I position in the Natural Resource Ecology and Management Department to assess invasive carp reproduction and spread in the Upper Mississippi River.
This position will provide technical support to research projects by assisting with the collection of fish in the field and processing samples in the laboratory. The successful candidate will develop methods for assessing where and when invasive carp reproduction is occurring in pools 14-16 of the Upper Mississippi River, conduct ichthyoplankton and zooplankton sampling in the field, and larval fish and zooplankton identification in the laboratory.
