Please note that boating/rafting experience is a strong requirement for this position. The Klamath River Ranger Interns will assists USFS River Ranger and other recreation staff with the following duties:
  • Patrols river corridors and initiates public contacts in the field to enhance the user’s river experience and protect the river resource through dispersal of information.
  • Patrols district waterways, trails, and/or roads and ensure that use is in accordance with recreation plans and regulations.
  • Ensures that portals are properly signed and bulletin boards are maintained.
  • Participates with other resource personnel to develop long-range plans for managing recreation resources.  Identifies potential problems arising from changing use p
