An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Officer to join us in a rewarding and varied role with the River Thame Conservation Trust.

This is an exciting time to join the Trust which is growing and building on recent project successes. As Project Officer, you will play a leading role in planning and delivering habitat and water quality improvement projects across the River Thame and parts of the Upper Ouse (Buckingham) and other local catchments.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the Trust’s Delivery Team, assisting with developing and delivering river restoration and habitat enhancement projects, working on projects at all stages including conception, development, design, delivery, and monitoring.

You will also support the Trust’s communication and public facing role, contributing to the Trust’s external communications (e.g. through websites, social media and presentations), profile and reputation and through involvement in our thriving volunteer programme.

The package.  Salary £24,000 – £28,800 pa subject to experience. More could be available for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates. The post offers flexible working, Rivers Trust pension / Life Insurance scheme 32 days leave (annual leave and public holidays) and flexible home and office working in pleasant office surroundings within Bury Knowle Park, Oxford.

Working Hours. This post is full time and initially a two-year fixed term contract with the intention to continue the post subject to funding and performance.
