Do you want to use your skills to transform the future of one of the most important seabird islands on Earth? The RSPB is seeking an experienced Aviculture Lead to develop and execute the captive management strategy of two landbird species (Gough bunting and Gough moorhen) during the restoration operation on Gough Island through to the release of these populations likely in late 2020. The is role will involve detailed and comprehensive planning in 2019, working to tight deadlines. The island is extremely remote and this planning will be a vital part of the RSPB's Gough Island Restoration Programme. Gough Island, part of the UK Overseas Territory of Tristan da Cunha, is a World Heritage Site, and one of the most important seabird islands in the world, with 22 breeding seabird species.
