The Discovery & Learning department has responsibility for formal education, outreach, interpretation, volunteering, learning technology and play. This large team resides within the Zoo’s Education Centre which was designed specifically for visiting schools & groups. Our Education Centre features a lecture theatre and three classrooms, which over the last four decades has reached over 1 million pupils of all ages, from pre-schools and nurseries to university groups and adult learners.
