We are looking for someone with practical skills and experience who can get work done on the ground as part of a 3 year project to improve habitat conditions for capercaillie. This work will include feeding cattle and maintaining electric fencing, mapping work done by contractors and undertaking species and habitat monitoring. Working in the stunning surroundings of Abernethy forest and in challenging terrain and weather conditions, the successful applicant will also keep on top of essential reserve maintenance work (fencing, track repairs, machinery maintenance and habitat management) and assist with some wildlife monitoring work.
