The Nature After Minerals (NAM) Programme has been delivered by the RSPB, in partnership with Natural England and with the support of the Mineral Products Association and British Aggregates Association, for over a decade. NAM works with the minerals industry, planners and other stakeholders to deliver and promote the biodiversity-led restoration of mineral extraction sites, securing benefits for wildlife and people, and maximising the opportunities for priority habitat creation on these sites. We work strategically, at a landscape scale, to deliver restoration plans which are bigger, better and more joined up, and with partners from across industry, the statutory sector (NDPBs & councils) and other eNGOs.
