Gwenffrwd Dinas is a breathtakingly beautiful location set in the heart of mid Wales. A traditional mosaic of hedgerow-bound fields blends through unspoilt, steep-sided Atlantic Oak Woodland to Ffridd and then way up to heather-clad moorland. Crashing white water blasts through a rocky landscape exquisitely preserved from the ravages of mankind through isolation and inaccessibility. We are blessed with exceptional populations of key species such as pied flycatcher, redstart and wood warbler but also celebrate superb lichen and bryophyte habitat. We are at an exciting point in the history of the reserve, just launching into an ambitious 10 year management plan which means a huge amount of input on the ground in a range of habitats.
