Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to save the capercaillie for future generations? The postholder will support the Advisory Officer in delivery of an agreed advisory programme of conservation action designed to support the species' long-term survival by creating a bigger and more robust forest network. This work is being funded through the HLF Cairngorms Capercaillie Project, which aims to deliver three principle objectives. As well as focusing on the long-term survival, the project aims to build support for capercaillie conservation, helping people to understand and value their natural heritage, the benefits it can bring and how their actions can affect it. In addition, the project will work with communities to develop sustainable approaches to recreation, meeting residents an
