Permanent Avicultural Research Assistant, Hawaii The San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research is seeking Research Assistant to conduct and support daily husbandry and conservation breeding activities at the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center in Volcano, Hawai‘i Island. The Keauhou Bird Conservation Center is one of two conservation breeding facilities in Hawaii for critically endangered and endemic birds. This facility is a crucial component of intensive conservation and reintroduction efforts for critically endangered avian species such as the ‘Alalā,‘Akikiki, Palila, and ‘Akeke‘e.
