WDFW is seeking two Scientific Technicians who are effective at collecting and tabulating field fishery data and looking to play a key role to conserve, enhance and restore native fish populations in Washington state. As our Scientific Technicians, you’ll assist with collecting data necessary for the management of the fish resources within the Willapa Bay watershed. With your expertise, you’ll provide data to work with federal, public, and private organizations to facilitate cooperative and effective collection and exchange of fishery and escapement data to help forecast salmon returns.

Duties:

  • Identify, record, and monitor salmonid redds and carcass recovery (live/dead fish counts) within selected stream reach
