You will also work regularly with our environmental education team, providing outdoor education to school children of all ages. You will provide excellent customer care and work with the Aigas team in a unique and exciting environment. You will be involved in animal husbandry (of our wildcats for example) and a range of other nature conservation projects on the estate.

Please do not apply if any of the following apply to you:

  • You do not have a clean and full driver’s licence.
  • You would not be prepared to live in shared accommodation on-site at Aigas.

Training Dates: Monday 6th February – Saturday 25th March 2023.

Employment Dates: 30th April – 31st October 2023.

Aigas Field Centre is the only private organisation in the UK to offer an extensive formal ranger training programme followed by 7 months of work experience. The posts involve providing a professional level of interpretation of the natural and cultural heritage of the Highlands to adult groups from all over the world and environmental education to children of all ages.

Applicants should be natural science, geography, or history graduates who can demonstrate a passion and commitment to the natural environment. They must hold a full and clean driver’s licence. Successful applicants will live on-site at Aigas Field Centre in a close-knit team of like-minded people and must be prepared to work anti-social hours on occasions.

Over 40 years of experience have shown that the training and experience that Aigas staff receive gives them unparalleled advantages over the ever-increasing competition in the environmental sector.
