The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre is the leading visitor centre for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The post is to assist in the continuing development of the Centre and its work and to provide effective support in its day-to-day operation.

Job purpose

  • To assist in the day-to-day running of a busy visitor centre (with over 145,000 visitors a year) and supervision of volunteer helpers.
  • To assist the implementation of the strong educational programme operated for school parties and groups.
  •  To contribute to an extensive programme of guided walks related to fossils and the coastal environment.
  • To encourage interest, understanding and responsible use of the coastline and surrounding countryside by visitors of all abilities.<
