Grouse Mountain is seeking field biologists to support their Buffalo, WY, field office during the spring/summer of 2023.
Fieldwork will include conducting greater sage-grouse lek counts (ground and aerial), raptor nest searches, raptor nesting occupancy/productivity surveys, swift fox nocturnal surveys, and amphibian surveys. Avian surveys will make up the bulk of fieldwork; however, surveys will also be conducted for other sensitive plants/animal species and wetland habitats. Travel is a large part of the position. The individual will be stationed out of Buffalo, WY, but may conduct surveys across Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska. Previous experience conducting avian surveys within the western region is preferred.
