Grouse Mountain is seeking field biologists to support their Buffalo, WY, field office during spring/summer 2023.
Wetland-related work will include wetland delineations and Waters of the U.S. determinations. Wildlife-related field work will include conducting greater sage-grouse lek counts (ground and aerial), raptor nest searches, raptor nesting occupancy/productivity surveys, swift fox nocturnal surveys, and amphibian surveys. Avian surveys will make up the bulk of fieldwork; however, surveys will also be conducted for other sensitive plants/animal species and wetland habitats. Travel is a large part of the position.
