Under the general direction of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), within a designated multi-county area, the incumbent works independently in the North Central Region’s (NCR) Habitat Conservation (HabCon) Program and is responsible for completing Environmental Review and Permitting tasks related to the Department’s Lake and Streambed Alteration (LSA) Program, the California Endangered Species Act (CESA), the Natural Community Conservation Planning Act (NCCPA), the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other laws, regulations and Department policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of biological resources.
