This is an outstanding opportunity to ensure that Scotland’s upland landscapes are managed in positive ways to help address the nature and climate crises, implementing RSPB Council policies. Working with other specialist policy colleagues you will lead on our work to develop our upland vision for Scotland including sustainable gamebird shooting; deer management; and farming and forestry. You will support our work to ensure effective licensing of grouse shooting and to influence and ensure implementation of relevant commitments on this subject made by the Scottish Government. We are looking for an experienced policy advocate who understands and can influence the policies that drive upland land-use, and then translate best practices for climate and nature into new legislation.
