Context: The intern will be directly assisting Chapter political and legislative staff members in protecting the environment by assisting in research and policy education. Scope: This position will generate research and information to be used to educate Sierra Club members, supporters, as well as grasstops and grassroots leaders on policy issues important to the protection of the environment in Michigan. The information will be used in a variety of communications vehicles at the Chapter. Job Activities: Writing articles about environmental topics Helping draft press releases Helping create educational presentations Organizing events Working with and educating government agencies Assisting with public outreach Educating our members and the public about environmental topics
