The Nulhegan Basin Pro Crew will engage in conservation projects at the Nulhegan Basin Division of the Silvio O. Conte National Wildlife Refuge in northeastern Vermont. Projects will include trail maintenance, boardwalk construction, and facilities maintenance. Crew leaders will receive specific, on-site training throughout the season. Members of this crew are also eligible for the Public Land Corps program. In this program, young adults between the ages of 16 and 30 who successfully complete 640 hours of conservation projects (120 of which on public lands) are then eligible to use, for two years, a noncompetitive hiring status for consideration when applying to competitive service positions.
