Description The Sitka Sound Science Center is recruiting one seasonal bear guard to work on a remote field project sampling salmon. Successful candidates will enjoy working in remote areas, be able to carry 30lb packs, and hike uneven rugged terrain. The bear guides are responsible for providing safe transport and supervision of all field crew members. Experience working in areas heavily populated by bears and with firearms is a must.
