An internship is available from late June 2021 until late December 2021 (26 weeks) to work with Galloway Fisheries Trust biologists on a range of projects.

Galloway Fisheries Trust is a conservation charity working on fish populations, their habitats and water quality across the freshwaters of Galloway.  The successful applicant will be involved in delivering a range of research, conservation and community engagement projects.

Key items of work that the intern will assist with delivering include:
  • A ‘Galloway Glens’ project to enhance riparian and instream habitats on the Black Water of Dee
  • Fish survey work
  • Delivering eel research work
  • Producing educational material for use in local schools
