The successful candidate will join a team of terrestrial habitats and species specialists working within the NRM Policy Department. As Specialist Advisor for Terrestrial Habitats, the post holder will lead on the provision of advice to the Woodlands Programme Team and the Permitting Team on the appropriateness of proposed woodland creation schemes in relation to priority habitats.  The post holder will also work with teams across NRW to provide advice and support on priority habitats, including casework, protected sites advice and policy development. The successful candidate will be someone who has experience of priority terrestrial habitats, in particular identification of semi-natural grasslands. You will need to have experience of using GIS.
