The SD will develop and guide the implementation of the stewardship program to achieve conservation and programmatic goals specific to each site; identify and secure resources to implement stewardship activities; lead, supervise, and support the stewardship team (expected to be eight members strong); collaborate with other departments to further BSLT’s mission; strengthen and build community and partner relationships; and inspire a robust land ethic. Successful fee land management will depend upon the SD’s ability to effectively maintain core stewardship duties and integrate strategic BSLT projects aligned with regional landscape conservation efforts and community needs.
