We seek applicants for a temporary (3 months) summer full-time field assistant position in stream ecology and water chemistry The Research Assistant will work on a project to assess the ecological conditions and water quality in an urban stream in New Bedford, MA, in collaboration with watershed conservation and municipal partners. The work will involve field water sample collections, assessments of stream flows, and laboratory water chemistry analysis. The successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to gain broad experience through field and laboratory work across stream ecology, environmental chemistry, and urban restoration planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in field sampling of water, stream conditions, and stream water flows.
