The Stronger Shores project (led by South Tyneside Council) represents a truly innovative approach working collaboratively with leading academics and Wildlife Trusts and other nature conservation NGOs. The project will improve understanding of the benefits of kelp, seagrass and native oyster habitats with regard to coastal erosion, flood risk, climate change, biodiversity management and wider benefits. Stronger Shores brings together the Durham, Northumberland, and Tees Valley Wildlife Trusts, to deliver a suite of exciting engagement activities. These activities are linked to partners work on Seagrass, Kelp and Oysters.
