Interns serve as uniformed professional representatives of the U.S. Forest Service in a highly-visible public program called the Valuing People and Places Field Ranger Corps. Position duties include the following: -Provide visitors with information on recreational opportunities, the significance of the resource, and the role of the Forest Service at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, Marys Peak, and other locations in the Siuslaw National Forest. -Develop and present multiple interpretive programs in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings for diverse public and educational audiences. - Work with a variety of Forest Service resource specialists and partner organizations to support restoration and conservation goals. -Act as a public represent
