This is an internship with the park interpretation & education division. The intern will help interpret stories of the Klondike Gold Rush by working alongside park staff to learn operations and assist visitors. The main duties of the intern are outlined below: Community outreach & special events: The intern will plan and implement a Teen hike for Seattle Area youth from Title I schools. This will involve 6-10 youth for a 4-5 day backpacking experience. The intern will also create and implement activities for a Summer Camp with local youth. These activities will be full days once a week for four weeks. The intern will coordinate with park resource staff for subject matter so that activities will relate to current park programs and efforts. Informal interpretation & visitor
