The crew will be expected to travel routes in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area by four wheel drive vehicle, foot, mountain bike, and possibly OHV or motorcycle to complete a route inventory to be used in travel management planning. The crew will collect data via a phone or tablet GPS unit and upload collected data to ArcGIS Online and manage the information using ArcMap. This will include working with the GIS specialist to develop products for an interdisciplinary team. The crew will also map areas of concern for invasive weeds, water quality, fisheries and wildlife habitat. Ability to independently travel over rough country and navigate by GPS and map and compass is required.
