The Animal Program Coordinator provides strategic leadership for the animal ambassador program and living exhibits. The qualified candidate will have a strong background in the biological or wildlife sciences field and experience in the care, training, and handling of raptors using science-based best practices in animal husbandry. The coordinator also provides leadership for educational and visitor experience programs by developing, supervising, and presenting conservation-based educational programs with the Nature Center’s animal ambassadors. This position will also serve as an integral member of the Nature Center’s front-line team by assisting with visitor services operations.
