Responsibilities

  The position serves as the Assistant Center Director for a multi-location USGS science center that includes major facilities in MD, MA, WV, and employees in other locations. The science center and its affiliated labs are responsible for implementing research and monitoring that improve the Department of Interior's understanding and management of the nation's natural resources. The center's research program includes approximately 150 scientific and science support personnel responsible for research efforts in the areas of fisheries, avian, and other wildlife population dynamics and ecology, animal health, disease and toxicology, and quantitative analyses to support decisions of natural resource agencies in the region, nationally, and
