The Jones Center invites applications for a Temporary Conservation Ecology Hourly Worker position. This is a 6-month position beginning as soon as possible, with a 3 month evaluation period. On-site housing is provided on a space-available basis. The Conservation Ecology Hourly Worker will assist in all aspects of implementing an ecological forestry and wildlife monitoring program. A large portion of time will be spent in the field, where activities will include forest mensuration, vegetative classification, identifying red-cockaded woodpeckers with spotting scopes, use of GPS equipment, and data collection.
