As a Parks Ecologist, you will be required to fulfil one of the following roles within Environmental Planning, a portfolio that is responsible for the planning and management of urban ecosystems. The areas of responsibility are divided into the following: Environmental planning: Provide subject matter expertise in planning initiatives and development applications. Capital projects: Initiate, design, and implement high-priority capital restoration projects. Integrated pest management: Assess, prepare and implement plans that control pests. Landscape analysis: Collect, maintain, and analyse spatial data in support using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Policy development: Research, develop and update conservation policies.
