Job Description: The Great Basin Institute, in cooperation with the US Forest Service Stanislaus National Forest, is recruiting 4 Wildlife Technicians to support wildlife/habitat surveys on the Forest. Field work will be conducted within the 4,000-8,000-foot elevation range of the Forest, which is located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Range in central California. Focal wildlife species include California spotted owl and northern goshawk. Main activities include navigating to designated field sites, conducting surveys according to specific field protocols, and collecting wildlife and habitat data.
