The iwi landscape in the Eastern Bay of plenty is complex with 10 iwi (with overlapping rights and interests) and multiple hapū. Iwi are now becoming key players and drivers in conservation and DOC are reliant on excellent knowledge of the Treaty landscape to effectively undertake our obligations.
