The Trust for Tomorrow has an opening for a wetland monitoring supervisory technician.  This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating the monitoring of wetlands restored under the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) and the Wetland Reserve Easements (WRE) by USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) throughout the state of NY. Duties will include: Planning and organizing monitoring efforts across 23 counties. Providing direct and indirect support to the NY Monitoring Program by assisting with field site visits, contacting landowners, and assessing aerial imagery of easements. Filling out monitoring worksheets to relay general conditions of the easements, identify possible violations or encroachments, and describe the effectiveness of the restoration practices.
