The Role: Trygg Mat Tracking is a non-governmental organisation that provides national fisheries authorities and international organisations with expert fisheries intelligence analysis, in support of enforcement actions and broader improvements in fisheries governance. Our work is primarily focused on targeting illegal fishing and fisheries crime in and near African waters. Information gathering and analysis from a wide range of sources is a cornerstone of our work, which is based on a large and growing database and archive of information on vessel and company identities, operations and compliance.
