Make the beach and marsh your new outdoor classroom on a Georgia barrier island perfect for the outdoor enthusiast at the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island! As part of the University of Georgia and Georgia 4-H, the Burton 4-H Center provides high-quality day and residential environmental educational experiences. Seasonal Environmental Educators will teach hands-on day and evening classes to predominantly 3rd-8th grade students. Most classes are taught outside with content ranging from beach, forest and marsh ecology, herpetology, ornithology, seining, invertebrates, dissections and more. Duties also include and are not limited to lead staff rotations, maintaining teaching facilities and supplies, providing animal husbandry for residential education animals, dorm cleaning, operating a UGA
