This position serves as the supervisor for a working field unit of 3 Natural Resource Specialist 2 employees. It is a working supervisor position responsible for the coordination of all activities required to produce a viable timber harvest schedule for an assigned geographical area. This includes coordination of the planning, preparation, and contract administration of an assigned timber sale volume. In meeting the assigned target, the Unit Forester is required to train, mentor, and lead employees assigned to the unit. The position also must respond to public and other agency requests relative to state lands management within the district. Responsibilities:
